Where does scleroderma come from and who gets scleroderma?

Scientists don’t yet have a complete understanding of what causes scleroderma, but they are working hard to unravel the mystery, find better treatments and a cure. In fact, women with the disease outnumber men with it by about four-to-one. Many people show signs of the disease at middle-age.
