Cool Comedy - Hot Cuisine
Thank you for all who joined us in Las Vegas for our most recent on Thursday, October 13th at the Brooklyn Bowl in Las Vegas. Hosted by Bill Bellamy, the night included appearances by SRF board member, Bob Saget, Absinthe's the Gazillionaire and special musical guest, Neon Trees. The evening's "hot cuisine" was be prepared by four Top Chef Masters Susan Feniger, Hubert Keller, Mary Sue Milliken, and Rick Moonen, along with dessert by Kerris Kuwana. Cool Comedy – Hot Cuisine is the Scleroderma Research Foundation’s signature fundraiser. It’s a night of gourmet cuisine and world-class comedy, featuring the foods of celebrity chefs and appearances from some of the biggest names in comedy - including Louis, CK, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien, Brian Regan, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, Jon Stewart and Robin Williams. The event often features a special musical guest (previous guests have included Counting Crows, Sheryl Crow, Goo Goo Dolls, Dave Koz, John Mayer, Train and others). The evening typically includes a small number of exclusive live auction packages. Attendees include luminaries from the worlds of television, film, music and business—and many others who have been directly or indirectly affected by scleroderma.
Since its inception in 1988, the event has raised millions of dollars for scleroderma research and brought a great deal of media attention to the disease. It has introduced scleroderma and the Scleroderma Research Foundation to thousands of people around the country.
Cool Comedy – Hot Cuisine events are currently hosted in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Our most recent event held on June 7 at the historic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco raised $600,000. The event featured host SRF Board Member, Bob Saget and an amazing line-up including Bill Bellamy, George Lopez and special musical guest the Goo Goo Dolls.
