Cure Crew Support from the Scleroderma Research Foundation

Like any good Crew member, we’re here to help! The SRF offers support to assist Crew members in achieving their goals. If you or someone you know decides to organize a project or event, we can offer assistance in planning, providing basic materials and helping with publicity. Below is a list of resources that are available.

The SRF allocates as much money as possible to funding research and, therefore, is not able to offer financial support of Cure Crew activities. Also, for privacy reasons, we are unable to share our donor names and addresses.

Fast Track to a Cure – Highlights and history of the Scleroderma Research Foundation (11 minutes)

Changing Lives – Scleroderma patients share their struggles and hopes (11 minutes)

For Hope – A made for TV movie directed by Bob Saget that is based on the real-life story of his sister, Gay, who was a scleroderma patient (96 minutes)

Printed Materials:

Scleroderma and SRF Backgrounder – double-sided card containing an overview about scleroderma as well as a background of the Foundation and its mission.

Remit envelopes – small self-addressed envelopes that contain fields for donors to enter address information, credit card information and a pocket to hold checks.

Sample Letters – If you decide to conduct a letter-writing campaign to your friends, family or local government, we can provide you with sample letters that may help guide you in drafting your own letter.

PSA – Public Service Announcements are a great way to build awareness. We can point you in the right direction to partner with local media and we can offer sample copy to include in your announcement.

Other materials – Copies of our current newsletter, annual report and other literature is available for distribution at your event. These are great tools to provide a more in-depth introduction to scleroderma and the SRF.

SRF Staff:

The staff at the Scleroderma Research Foundation is available to help you and address questions that may arise during the planning process. In some cases, a member of the staff may be able to attend your event to represent the SRF and interact with your attendees.

We’re only a phone call away to answer questions, provide materials and offer support. We can be reached during normal business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST, Monday through Friday) at 800-441-CURE (2873).
