ODDS ARE THERE’S ONLY ONE THING YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS DISEASE…

More than 300,000 Americans are afflicted with scleroderma - and it is often undiagnosed. More than 80% of its victims are women between the ages of 25 and 50. Chances are, until recently, you’ve never even heard of it. Scleroderma literally means “hard skin,” but it is much more than a skin disease as it can also severely damage internal organs. It is a disfiguring, debilitative, and often deadly disease. Frankly, we don’t know what causes scleroderma, but our research has proven that it can be conquered. With your help, in the not-so-distant future, the only thing anyone will know about scleroderma is that someone has found a cure.

…SOMEONE WHO HAS IT.

Additional Educational Resources

This is the place to request more information about scleroderma from SRF, find a doctor in your area who may be able to offer assistance, or link to other organizations that are committed to scleroderma’s demise.

The more people know about scleroderma, the more successful we will be in building the collaborative effort necessary to facilitate a cure. As of today, scleroderma is not a household name like multiple sclerosis, leukemia, and muscular dystrophy. But if we work together… It can be!

The success of scleroderma awareness is measured in terms of how many people are informed about the disease, its victims, and its symptoms. SRF is pleased to offer the following resources and encourages you to educate yourself, your family, and your friends about this serious health issue that is destroying the lives of too many Americans.
